Collaborations and connection with the business structure

The project proposes the definition of a protocol with which to regulate the workflow related to the creation of an information model (HBIM) capable of documenting cultural places that can be visited and enjoyed by a wide public (museum, public buildings, archaeological sites, etc.). Due to this peculiarity of being places with a strong cultural value and public interest, the models to be created are not simply the result of an Information Modeling procedure for historical heritage, but are also integrated with data provided by the following business entities:

  • Businesses capable of developing and testing three-dimensional survey methodologies in various fields: that of conservation, restoration, architectural heritage, archaeological heritage, and industrial engineering. Entities that against an acquired morphological data, are able to return a basic informed model using contemporary BIM authoring software;
  • Businesses that generally deal with building and site management systems, aimed at controlling and monitoring facilities for the environmental comfort of cultural property and visitors. Business entities involved in local or remote management (through the use of digital sensors) of environments enjoyed by a wide public or specialized personnel; services include the development of interfaces for reading and guided management of collected data;
  • Information and communication technology (ICT and IoT) companies capable of developing methods and techniques for the transmission, reception and processing of data and information (including digital technologies). The data to be acquired and managed are those capable of defining safe enjoyment within the examined spaces, while at the same time enabling augmented enjoyment (AR, VR, MR) of the cultural asset in question.

The types of companies mentioned already exhibit solid technical skills and, by acquiring the guidelines of the protocol developed with HBIM4lazioHERITAGE, enter a wider cultural market in which the Lazio Region is rich in terms of buildings and sites. In addition, the same procedure finds a fertile business environment in the entire national territory due to the high concentration of cultural assets in our territory and more generally in Europe.

The results of the project aim at the economic benefit of two possible entrepreneurial realities.
1 - On the one hand, the plurality of skills provided by the workflow suggests the establishment at medium scale of new entrepreneurial entities capable of using culture as an input and that from it are able to return a product that places the protocol defined by HBIM4lazioHERITAGE at the basis of the work.
2 - On the other hand, the same plurality of skills can be covered with the establishment of a consortium of companies already working in related sectors to those listed above, thus possessing strong technical skills that, through the union of skills, are able to cover all the themes expressed in the protocol defined by HBIM4lazioHERITAGE, even on large-scale cultural subjects.

There are numerous collaborations with entities and companies in Lazio; they will be referred to for the enhancement and dissemination in the market of the final product. These include:

The society DART- Chiostro del Bramante, born from a visionary project of Patrizia de Marco and today in the hands of Laura de Marco, Giulia de Marco and Natalia de Marco, has overseen the conversion of the spaces used for the convent's activities into exhibition spaces, creating a cultural pole of visual arts of reference for the City of Rome and in the world, thus enhancing and promoting also the Chiostro del Bramante itself. The mission of DART - Chiostro del Bramante is to make art usable to all different types of audiences through the pursuit of inclusive communication at multiple levels (from exhibition design to didactics, from audioguides to a constant online presence, from LIS-accessible visits to tactile ones) guaranteeing an exciting and never taken for granted experience. Bleb Technology was born from the more than twenty years of experience gained by its founder, Eng. Fabrizio Innocenti, in the realization of new products and as a system integrator, who, understanding the need to provide an "efficient answer" to companies wishing to develop new solutions and/or products in the IOT, Wearable and active RFID fields, has devised a special technological enabler. The platform thus created is based on small smart bricks called "BleBricks." which, once slotted together with the same simplicity as LEGO, self-configure to bring to life in an instant a "new" Bluetooth/NFC device that integrates the desired sensing and interface functions. The use of this technology requires no technical expertise, writing lines of code, or design of any kind, and allows for zero development time and cost for building new prototypes, breaking down one of the main barriers to innovation and decreasing the perception of risk for companies that want to innovate.
